Description

Our client is a leading mail order and online retailer, which operates across three brands; and in three countries; UK, France, and Germany, working within a small buying team.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Buying Director in managing the catalogue selection and production processes
  • Team leader for the above, managing the Buying Admin Assistant and coordinating the other team members for larger activities
  • Ensuring the sample invoices and courier paperwork is correctly filed
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Checking the charge backs from our 3rd party warehouse for rectification work on stock and querying if necessary
  • Supporting the Buying Director and the Book Buyer with ad hoc work
Main Duties
  • Organising samples for photo shoots, logging them in and out using excel sheets and ensuring they are all securely packaged
  • Maintaining the 2 sample rooms to ensure that all samples are locatable and that the space is well organised
  • Weighing , measuring, taking basic photos of books and stationery and logging additional information about the samples on excel
  • Creating a bank of images from the websites of lines being considered for catalogues
  • Checking copy information for the website matches the printed catalogues.
  • Checking catalogue layouts and proofs to ensure they list the correct products
 
Essential Skills Required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player, happy to work together on joint projects
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to work under pressure and stick to deadlines
  • Good standard of written English
  • Experience in using Excel
  • A positive and can-do attitude
  • Eager to learn
  • Driving license this is a rural location
