About the role:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Head of Reports will line manage the reports and operations executives (currently 3 staff and work closely with the data executives responsible for project managing and producing suite of data driven reports, contributing to the company profile as the leading provider of data, intelligence and research on the worlds international schools.
The role involves a high level of management and organisation skills, ensuring that the team are meeting the report schedule deadlines,  adhering to product/high quality standards and ensuring consistency and accuracy, to produce comprehensive reports that help schools with their growth plans, inform investors on new school development, support universities that wish to engage with international schools, and advise education suppliers that are supporting the market.
The individual will produce reports themselves where required, utilising branded templates, editing Market Intelligence Briefs and interpreting data so that it is meaningful to clients and is commercially viable.
A high level of attention to detail is expected, strong people skills, along with embracing the variety of tasks and demands of our clients. A team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to our growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Line management of the Reports and Operations Executives (work allocation, quality of work, target setting and development)
  • Leading weekly team meetings
  • Scheduling and project management of the team workflow
  • Regular meetings with Heads of data teams to ensure projects are on track, putting corrective measures in place
  • Planning and delivery of report development projects to specification and timescale
  • Reviewing with the Operations and Sales Directors, the content and data available to enhance our offering
  • Work with the Operations Director to provide continuous improvement, reviewing procedures and services to areas within your control  


Key Skills:

  • At least 2 years successful line management experience, including target setting and holding appraisals
  • Enthusiastic and natural team player, with the ability to work with cross-functional, virtual and diverse teams to drive a positive result
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact effectively with all levels of management, staff, and external partners
  • Flexibility and ability to work on multiple reports and projects, adjusting to any change in priorities or deadlines
  • Experienced writer with an excellent command of English and demonstrable ability to write precise, clear prose with an exacting attention to detail, for our reports
  • Good Excel skills and some experience in data manipulation to understand technical accuracy of displayed data in reports would be desirable, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to set priorities and lead a small team to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Decisiveness, accuracy and takes a lead role in the tasks they are responsible for, with a result oriented and commercial focus
  • Representing the company with a professional, helpful, knowledgeable and proactive attitude
