Purpose of the role:
To plan and deliver communications outputs to support various Company programmes and open-access products This will demand working closely with programme boards, internal managers, external partners including government level stakeholders and donors.
Key accountabilities:- Manage the WordPress websites and blogs, including drafting original content, editing submissions, and managing the editorial calendar
- Work with the Social Media Manager to manage the programmes social media channels and contribute content
- Manage monthly programme newsletters and other ad-hoc email marketing activities
- Support the programmes virtual events, including promotion, registration, and technical support during sessions
- Supporting the production of programme reports and publications, including arranging typesetting and copyediting
- Support Company presence at third-party physical events, including promotion and logistics as required
- Create and commission marketing collateral, e.g., flyers, presentations, videos, infographics
- Work with PR Manager to promote products and programmes through news articles, press releases and other appropriate media internationally
- Provide regular reports and analytics on the above activities
Education; Knowledge & Skills:- Experience in website content management systems, customer relationship management software, social media, online advertising, and email management
- Excellent communicator: articulate, persuasive, and confident; providing clear, concise verbal and written communications.
- Skills in written communications in all forms, including blogs, press releases and social media
- Experience of producing high quality visual material (digital and print)
- Excellent project management, planning and time management skills
- Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience in a similar role
