The Company
An innovative market leader in the design and development of highly engineered and customised systems within their industry. The company are at the forefront of the design and development of extrusion systems and have a strong product portfolio selling into both B2B and B2C markets. The company contracts the manufacture of their components worldwide and performs quality control, warehousing, assembly, and dispatch on site in Oxfordshire. The company is set to grow 4x on its £9m base over the next 4 years on the back of detailed research and is fully funded to achieve these growth objectives.
The company uses a management system called EOS. The existing Leadership Team is high performing and is comprised of professionals that have gained strong experience in their fields.
Main purpose of the job:
Responsible for supporting the Quality Control Engineer in the day to day running of the quality department, to ensure ongoing high level of quality of products being sold by the company. Your immediate line manager is the Quality Manager, but ultimately answerable to all the Company Directors.
Main tasks of the job:- Carrying out QC inspection of inbound stock using our state-of-the-art digital optical inspection equipment and specialised metrology equipment
- Raising non-conformance reports with manufacturers to rectify any issues
- Inspection of assemblies and kits produced in house before they are sent out to customers
- Generating and continuously improving QC documentation and processes, with the support and guidance from the QC Engineer
- Follow all Health and safety instructions, given both verbally, and set out within the company health and safety policy. Always seek instruction on using unfamiliar machines, and use all appropriate PPE
- You are responsible for your own safety, and the health and safety of others around you. If you need extra training, you must make your line manager aware, and never conduct work in an unsafe manner
