- Description
- We are looking to recruit for a Production Technician to sit within the Production Team of the Operations Department. This is a new role signed off in the business plan due to expansion. The Production Technician is responsible, under the direction of the Production Manager, for the assembly of all products marketed by the company. This document lists the duties and obligations of the role as they currently exist, but all staff are expected to undertake such additional responsibilities as may from time to time be agreed in consultation with the company.
The new employee will need to drive due to remote location.
The candidate:- Able to follow set processes/procedures and work instructions to assemble products and carry out duties
- Abide by company policies and quality standards.
- Cares about work being done properly. Sets high standards of professionalism and expects others to work to high standards too.
- Able to keep and record information in an organised and timely manner. This will help to keep progress tracked and product data records up to date, for example.
- Enjoys working on own and collaboratively, with people inside and outside Production department.
- Happy to perform a wide range of tasks. Can adapt to changing priorities.
- A clear communicator and keeps people well informed.
- Experience of working in an electrical assembly environment, making/assembling electrical products. (Ideally small scale, low volume, fast paced high-tech environment).
- Fully proficient with the use of small hand-held tools for electrical product assembly, i.e., screw drivers, hex keys, small wrenches, snips, soldering iron etc.
- Able to assembly small mechanical enclosures containing framework and electrical PCBs (use of tools above)
- GCSE or equivalent
- Computer literate; experience of using Microsoft windows to input product data into the company computer systems (Microsoft Office Applications beneficial).
