The Finance Assistant will play an essential role in providing support to the Finance Manager. Through maintaining financial systems, recording and processing financial information, data entry and general financial administration, the Finance Assistant will help ensure effective financial management across the company.

The Finance Assistant will play an essential role in providing support to the Finance Manager. Through maintaining financial systems, recording and processing financial information, data entry and general financial administration, the Finance Assistant will help ensure effective financial management across the company.
Duties & Responsibilities- Purchase ledger (Accounts Payable) administration
- Purchase invoice processing & query management
- Supplier management including statement checks & sending remittances
- Expense processing
- Sales ledger (Accounts Receivable) administration
- Credit control & Cash Collection (proactive) including customer statements management
- Customers credit risk management & debt status reporting
- Dealing with customer/supplier queries/requests
- Assisting with reconciling and reporting
- Managing the Accounts email Inbox & dealing with incoming post
- General finance admin duties
- Qualified/part-qualified/studying for qualifications (ACCA/AAT)
- A strong understanding of financial principles
- Working knowledge of Excel, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables
- Working knowledge of Exchequer software or EPICOR (ERP) an advantage
- Proactive & tenacious (especially on credit control side)
- Excellent written & oral communications skills (especially on the phone)
- Good relationship builder with customers/suppliers
- Solid math’s knowledge
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Hours of work are 0830 – 1700 Mon – Thu and 0830 – 1600 on Fri.
