- The role:
A fantastic opportunity to join the Distribution Team as EMEA Manager, supporting a customer base that includes both design-in and high service level distributors. Working closely with our channel partners to become their preferred supplier and get the first opportunity with new projects will mean you provide best in class support, negotiating sensitively to ensure outcomes which meet company’s commercial strategy. An experienced sales professional, with a solid history of success, you will have the confidence to challenge positively and question effectively to secure an appropriate level of technical understanding. A hybrid role, as well as office time, this role will include visits to distributors around Europe (including joint visits to their customers) professionally representing at a senior level, providing value by assisting in the design-in process and/or training distributor sales teams on new products and targeted applications.
Responsibilities:
Regional Design-in Distributors- Manage, support, motivate and train distributors to maximise sales of products into appropriate applications, achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Use SalesForce CRM system to track and manage the progress of project business ensuring next actions are clearly defined and the forecast is accurate.
- Ensure new products are effectively launched to distribution, taking the internal product launch presentations (where appropriate) and re-purposing to ensure distribution sales teams have a good understanding of the benefits of the product, markets it is intended for and the position within the overall product portfolio.
- Manage any special price requests, ensuring there is a business case for deviating from set pricing.
- Responsibility for completing the NPI process with each European HSLD from initial completion of the relevant form used by each distributor through to ensuring the key spec parameters, product images and RRP are correctly represented on the distributor website.
- Obtain and report key metrics quarterly from each distributor including market share and position of company, current inventory levels, on time and other delivery performance measures.
- Actively engage in QBR meetings to review activities and performance, challenge results and plan for future improvement.
- Monitor competitor product launches and pricing to ensure company is still competitive in a changing market.
- Update distributor price lists to include NPI, EOL and any lead time changes.
- Maintain an overview by distributor of marketing activities and costs vs agreed budgets.
- Good level of education (Graduate or equivalent)
- Min 3 years technical sales (electronics/power supplies) ideally for OEM
- Evidence of successful relationship building with channel partners
- Self-motivated with strong people skills
- Strong numerical and data skills
- Well-developed commercial understanding
- Evidence of good judgement with solutions focus
- Highly effective communicator inc written/spoken English
- Solid IT skills (particularly good Excel, experience with SalesForce/SAP desirable)
- Able to drive, willing to travel as required
- Able to quickly assimilate technical information
- High level of attention to detail
- Ideally international experience, working across Europe
