Purpose of the Role:
To be responsible for the manufacturing area within the production cycle, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner and in line with Quality Standards.
To line manage Team Leaders, providing support to them when required, and to be a 6S champion for the area.
You will need to have at least 2 years experienced manager skills within the manufacturing sector.
Your role will be to ensure compliance to the factory’s operating standards while ensuring safe and effective running of the operation across your teams within a 24/7 operation.
The role is responsible for product delivery and process outputs while motivating and leading your team to set KPIs whilst maintaining health and safety, quality, food safety and customer service standards.You will need excellent communication skills and be able to thrive in a continuous improvement culture supporting all aspects of production.
Responsibilities:- An expert in a Production Operative role in the assigned area and to have extensive knowledge of processes within the area
- To line manage the Production Team Leaders in the assigned area, providing guidance, support, and identifying training needs where required
- Monitor progress throughout the shifts to be sure that targets are met
- Attend daily Production meetings, providing updates for the work in the assigned area
- Manage the daily running of the area, maximising staff utilisation and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the schedule defined by Total Control Pro
- Keep the production board in the assigned area up to date on a daily basis
- Liaise with the Team Leaders in the areas before and/or after your assigned area to ensure that work moves along the production line in a timely manner
- To ensure the assigned area is kept tidy and there are no Health and Safety risks
- Report any production issues to your line manager and report any equipment issues to the Maintenance team
- To monitor stock levels and PPE
- Strong line management skills
- Experience in a production environment
- The ability to communicate well - both verbally and in writing - with staff at all levels
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing/leading teams
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a production environment
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Able to demonstrate decision making capability
- Problem solving skills
- Effective delegation
- Good standard of PC skills/ Numerate & literate

Working Hours:- 7:00am – 7pm Mon-Thu (60min break)
- 7:00pm – 7am Mon-Fri (60min break)
- Alternate week shift pattern and 20% shift allowance
- 12 hour shifts are 4/4 days Only people who can work these shifts will be considered for the position.
