- Description
- The role:
Supervising a small team, responsible for all aspects of production, from booking in new material, through the processes to dispatch of finished goods. Size of team is 4 in the warehouse and 1 driver.- Booking in and inspecting new material.
- Checking dimensions, quantity and material identification.
- Planning and delegating daily production plans to the warehouse operatives
- Ensuring the warehouse is maintained in good order.
- Weekly PI checks are done.
- Producing Certification to go with the goods.
- Communicating any customer issues with sales and contract control.
- Procurement of all sundry items for the warehouse.
- Ordering external transport when required.
- Learning the use of bar saws and guillotine as back up.
- Managing a small team
- Good attention to detail
- Health & Safety
- Supply Chain Management experience
- Counterbalance licence preferred but not essential
- Closed over Christmas
- Hours - 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 4.30pm on a Friday - 1 hour lunch and 2 15-minute breaks
