Job overview
Take responsibility for the successful and profitable delivery of allocated client(s) accounts. Building relationships with clients and their external stakeholders, creating a good rapport, and proactively suggesting strategic considerations to clients. Establishing a partnership with the Director on the account. Be a team player, leading them, supporting them, recognising value, and using all of the talents within the account handlers and wider editorial team and support functions.
Results and Delivery- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with the clients strategic objectives
- Proactively consider initiatives and recommendations that will fit the clients strategic objectives, work in partnership with the Director to deliver and recommend them
- Coordinate receiving a clear brief from the client and disseminate it to the internal team, ensuring it is understood
- Deliver projects to the brief and within scope and budget
- Consider resource needs of the internal team to deliver on time, within budget and scope
- Allocate and support the team on the roles and responsibilities assigned
- Generate and review draft content with the team, as appropriate to the role and project, and in partnership with the allocated Director
- Share best practice with teams ensuring materials delivered to the client are of a high quality and have been through the review process
- Proactively consider any problems that may arise to the account leads and or client where appropriate and make suggestions to overcome these
- Ensure the team follows compliance procedures, GDPR and all relevant codes of practice
- Ensure compliance with all SOPs (internal and external)
- Work with the account team to ensure client and internal project team meetings and all key project delivery tracking is happening on time, examples include, project status reports, schedules and client agendas
- Develop high-level budgets, track project scope, oversee the completion of reconciliations, ensure overall finance management for clients, forecasting and invoices are managed accurately and on time
- Proactively manage client expectations and flag any demands that may cause pressure on teams to Director
- Flag opportunities for organic growth that fit with the clients strategic objectives considering the competitive landscape
- Proactively alert clients to interesting information in their field
- Be available for domestic and international travel when the project requires onsite support
- Ideally educated to graduate level or above or bring extensive project management experience
- At least five years’ experience within medical communications
- Organised with excellent time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and enthusiastic
- Competent in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Good written and spoken communication skills
