- The Position
To support the Finance and Facility Manager to deliver quality monthly management reporting (Finance and data) Ideal candidate will be working towards or be AAT qualified and have admin experience. Must be Outlook and Excel literate and able to communicate with our customers and suppliers, in writing and verbally, in a professional manner. The role is for an experienced individual who enjoys a range of accounting duties including daily bookkeeping such as purchase and sales ledger, credit control, VAT returns, along with ad hoc administrative duties to support the smooth running of our offices and labs. This varied role comprises aspects of both accounts and office / Facility administration and would be office based but there may be some potential for home working.
The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:- Responsible for transactional inputting into XERO
- Sales Ledger, raising invoices and posting invoices
- Sending monthly statements to clients
- Purchase ledger, Processing of purchase invoices matching / batching / coding
- Expense processing
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Assisting with management accounts
- Ad-hoc duties as advised by company accountant
- Handling post and queries
- Ensuring adequate supplies of office stationery and supplies
- Assisting with the Management of health and safety in the office
- Ad-hoc office management and administration tasks
- Liaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve any finance-based queries
- Daily bank postings and reconciliations.
- To assist in the preparation of schedules for audits and other compliance requirements
- Routine, but essential, office /Facility management and administration tasks
- Laboratory Stock / Inventory control and ordering (after training)
- Shipping and Export documentation (after training)
- Sales administration support as required.
- Responsible for ordering supplies for office / kitchen / cleaning
- Proven track record in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, including VAT Returns and bank reconciliations
- AAT studying or qualified or equivalent, QBE
- Must be able to speak in Fluent English
- Good knowledge of Excel Spread Sheets and online accounting packages
- Able to work in total confidentiality and with discretion
- Excellent attention to detail is essential for this job
- Excellent administration and organisation skills
- A minimum of 1-year in a similar finance role experience being desirable.
- Knowledge of Xero cloud-based accounting software
- Great with interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
- Confident telephone manner
