South Oxfordshire Based
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role and preferably hold an NVQ level 2 or 3 qualification (although this is not essential).
Hours: 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday (no weekend work) with a 1-hour break, from 8am to 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in all makes of vehicles.
- Service and maintain vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance work such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake replacements.
- Mentor and support apprentices (if you would like this responsibility).
- Keep logs on work and issues.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- This role can be based 100% in the workshop but if you would like the opportunity to liaise with customers to provide quotes etc. this can be arranged.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanic.
- NVQ level 2 or 3 preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge and experience of all makes of vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs to a high standard.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship.
- Willingness to learn and continuously develop skills.
- MOT tester preferred but not essential.
